Principal Designer
Originally from Minneapolis–St. Paul, Tara Bates has built an international career in fashion, luxury interiors and residential renovation. After working as a photographic model in Nashville, New York and London, she joined her husband in England, where they built a successful luxury footwear and accessory business, collaborating with leading manufacturers in Italy and Spain.
During her years in England, Tara also specialized in historic properties, including those in disrepair, and thoughtfully restored and subdivided these into modern living spaces while preserving their original historical character. These experiences shaped the refined European style that continues to influence her work today.
Since relocating to Naples, Florida, in 2006, Tara has established Lime International Decor, a boutique luxury residential interiors firm specializing in waterfront homes, custom residences and major renovations throughout Southwest Florida. As an accomplished interior decorator, she works closely with homeowners, architects and builders to guide the interior vision of each project, overseeing everything from furnishings, finish selections to installation and project coordination.
Her work has been featured in Florida Design Magazine, Home & Design Magazine, Gulfshore Life, and Kravet Design Share, recognizing her distinctive interiors and luxury residential projects. Today, Tara continues to create exceptional homes for clients from around the world, combining timeless style with meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Tara was on time, returned phone calls promptly, kept on top of any problems and most important, had good decorating ideas along with being a pleasant person to work with.
